Bernadette Chaney Farrell
- She started tap dancing at the renowned May Phelan Stage School when
she was 4 years old and had great success, appearing as a tiny tot during
pantomine at the famous Theatre Royal.
- At 8 years, her family moved house and it was too far to go to the tap
dancing school but there was an Irish Dancing school nearby so she joined
that and so started a lifelong obsession with Irish Dancing.
- She won all the major championships as a solo dancer and was the youngest
to win the Senior All Ireland Championship at only 17 years (the competition
was for over 16 years). - - She was the dancer most frequently seen on Irish
TV and featured in many programmes including weekly live soap opera.
- She started teaching aged 18 and has had numerous very successful pupils
winning all the major championships over the years.
- She developed her school into one of the leading schools in Dublin.
- She has travelled extensively with her pupils throughout Europe and also to North America.
- She is one of the most respected adjudicators with vast experience. She adjudicated at this year's World Championships held at Glasgow, Scotland. She is very proud to have trained several teachers and adjudicators.
Fernanda Faez
- Teacher, dancer and choreographer trained in Dance at State University of Campinas - Unicamp.
- Coordinator of the part of Irish Dance in Banana Broadway - Campinas, SP.
- She's creator and producer of the "Celtic Festival Brazil".
- She lived and studied dance in Ireland for two seasons (2003 and 2004/2005) and bringing them back to Brazil, 10 prizes Championships (Feis), 7 top marks in examinations of Irish Dance and much knowledge and experience in traditional dances, folk and scenic of the country.
- She taught Irish dance workshops in Rome, Italy and Dublin, Ireland.
- She was featured in the Real magazine (2003), with a circulation throughout Ireland, London, Belgium and Switzerland in reference to her work with Irish dancing and "Brazilian tap" in Dublin – Ireland and in the magazine Irish Dancing & International Culture (2004), as representative of Irish Dance in Brazilian territory.
- She was photographed in the book "Out of Your Tree," among Irish personalities.
Among some of the work she has done for TV, are:
- In 2007, a project with the TV station Globo, RJ, responsible for every part of the novel choreographic at 6 p.m. "Eterna Magia".
- In 2008, held a job for a Special Year End in the TV station Record.
- In 2009, she participated of Silvio Santos program in the TV station SBT.
- As a choreographer, she received a lot of awards, among them, 7 awards at the International Festival of Joinville-SC, the largest of the World Dance Festival, receiving, including two statements better Group Festival.
His works start a pioneering involving Brazilian and Irish cultures and trace a new path for the ethnic dance projection on the world stage.
Richard Griffin
- He is an Irish Dance Teacher , Adjudicator and Examiner for the Irish Dance Commission based in Dublin and one of the most innovative and progressive choreographers of Irish dance today.
- He started dancing when he was seven years old and was fortunate in competitions winning several Great Britain and All Ireland titles.
- He have now been teaching for 40 yrs during which time his students have won over 50 World titles in every discipline,Solo,Ceili,Figure and Dance Drama.
But he is most proud that there are about 40 ex pupils that are now active teachers and half of those are also adjudicators .
- He still has a dance school which he runs with his partner Maggie Lynch .
- His son Emmett is also a superb dancer and is currently touring with Gaelforce Dance
after previously dancing in Lord of the Dance for three years (including Feet of Flames
in July 1998)
- Richard has worked with various dance groups in Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia and
Switzerland.
- For the last ten years he has also been working as choreographer and dance director for GFD Promotions producing and touring with International Irish Dance shows
such as Gaelforce Dance , Dance Masters and Irish Nights and have been fortunate to have travelled the world with these shows and also conducting workshops as far apart as Chicago and Taipei .
- But with all his travels he has never come in to Brazil and is really looking to meeting the Brazilian dancers .
